EBSL took over all aspects of the men’s national team, which has produced great success with the national team winning their first ever tournaments in 2013. Their current official FIFA rankings are 30th in the World and 11th in Europe.
2014 also saw the women’s national team play their first ever international as part of the ITV World Cup Fever Pitch held in Manchester. They have subsequently played at two international events abroad and are considered to be one of the stronger teams in Europe.
EBSL are keen to create a pathway for more players, coaches, medical support staff and referees to gain international experience.
2016 promises to be another progressive year for the national scene with major events taking place at various regions to include: Ryde on the Isle of Wight, Poole in Dorset, Croyde in North Devon, Bridlington in Yorkshire and Tynemouth in Northumberland.
EBLS are always keen to hear from potential new promoters that would like to get involved in developing a Beach Soccer scene in their local area.
If you want to play Beach Soccer or are interested in setting up your own EBSL approved event/league then please, contact us for details.
